New welcome cards...

Thanks to good old VistaPrint we’ve produced some new welcome cards as well as cards that explain a bit about giving and teams in the church.  How they manage to do 50 large-sized full-colour postcards for just over £4 including postage is beyond me! (btw: the typo was corrected before printing – can you spot it? Ed.)

More tea vicar?

Have you ever had a steaming letter of complaint, hand-written and delivered in a brown envelope?  Have you ever had someone blank you in the street, ignore you and make you feel that you didn’t exist?  Have you ever heard that someone has been gossiping about you, saying nasty things behind your back?  Have you ever had someone say or do something so hurtful about you that it has left you feeling broken, damaged and depressed?

Traditional Worship?

Right now, for some of you, it may feel like things are a bit up in the air. Our morning church services are going through some changes and I liken it to making omelettes. You cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs, and right now I’ve been breaking a few eggs. Be assured that an omelette is in the making! If you missed the Vicar’s Charge at the APCM, the Vision and Strategy document that we distributed at the back of church, or you have not read the posts on the church website then this letter is for you!

For the fellas…

You’ve heard of Mellow Birds – a group for mums in the church?  Well, Mike Whittome has started a new bi-weekly group for blokes.  It’s about as unmellow as you can get.  Week 1 had as hiking to goat island,  Week 2 we explored the cave in the cliffs between Beer and Branscome.
