Sunday 18 March

This Sunday the theme is “Jesus Predicts His Death” and the reading is John 12: 20-33.  Morning worship starts at 10am with no Junior Church. Communion will be during morning worship. At 5pm our more traditional and reflective evening worship will start with the same theme and reading as the morning worship. And at 6pm-7:30pm we will be having The Mix, a youth praise of live worship, games and doughnuts!

 

Congratulations and Welcome

 

We are thrilled to announce that Poppy Ella Roe arrived safely at 00:07 on Monday 5th March 2018 weighing 8lb 11oz. We wish the Roe family all the best as they adjust to becoming a family of four and all the wonder and delight that brings.

Mothering Sunday 11th March

 

This Sunday we celebrate Mothering Sunday with the theme God so Loved the World and reading John 3:14-21. We will also be welcoming a child into the church with a baptism at the morning worship starting at 10am. The evening worship will have the same theme and reading with communion starting at 6pm

Sunday 4th March

This Sunday is the last in our prayer series, with the theme “Prayer – Warfare: Deliver us from evil” and the reading Ephesians 6: 10-18.  Morning worship starts at 10am with worship and Junior Church will be having Adventure Church afternoon with Ben and Esther.Communion will be during morning worship. At 6pm our more traditional and reflective evening worship will start with the same theme and reading as the morning worship.

Lent Course: A series of talks on our Christian spiritual heritage

In this series of talks we will be exploring different spiritual traditions in our Christian heritage, our Christian roots in Judaism and a talk on gaining a greater understanding of Islam

Sunday 25 February

This Sunday is the penultimate of our prayer series with the theme “Prayer – Listening: Our daily bread” and the reading John 10:1-10.  Cafe Church starts at 9:30am with worship starting at 10am and Junior Church will be looking at the topic “The Lost Sheep”. At 6pm our more traditional and reflective evening worship will start with the same theme and reading as the cafe church worship. Communion will be during evening worship.

Sunday 11th February

We continue our Prayer Series this Sunday with the theme “Prayer – Intercession: Your kingdom come” and the reading is Exodus 17:8-13.  Morning worship starts at 10am and there will be no Junior Church as it is half term. At 6pm our more traditional and reflective evening worship will start with the same theme and reading as the morning worship. Communion will be during evening worship.

Adventure Church

Good weather forecast for this Sunday afternoon so here’s the plan for Adventure Church… The theme is ‘Life off the Beaten Track’ and we will meet at Langdon Hill Car park, by Golden Cap, at 1.45pm. Please bring: waterproofs and gear suitable for walking up Golden Cap, and doing some off the beaten track orienteering-esque games, a drink and snacks, a map of the area and compass if you have one. (Don’t worry if not) We aim to finish by 4pm. Look forward to seeing you all there!

Sunday 4th Febraury

We continue our Prayer Series this Sunday with the theme “Prayer – Petition: Give us this Day” and the reading is Luke 11: 5-10.  Morning worship starts at 10am and communion will be held. Junior Church will be having an Adventure Church in the afternoon. And at 6pm our more traditional and reflective evening worship will start with the same theme and reading as the morning worship.

Sunday 28th January

 

This Sunday we are starting our Prayer Series. The theme this week is “Prayer- Adoration: Our Father” and the reading is Psalm 104. Morning Worship starting at 10am is all age and communion will be held at the more reflective 6pm evening worship.

At 3pm we will also be holding our service for those who forget and their carers. This is a shorter service and invite all those who wish to worship but may find the regular Sunday worships a bit too long or hard to follow.
