Sunday 7th May

This Sunday the theme for both morning (10am) and evening (6pm) worship is The Good Shepherd and His Sheep and the reading is John 10: 1-10.  Communion will be held during the morning and evening worship. Junior Church will be discussing right/wrong anger and a life more fruitful.

The evening worship is a more peaceful and reflective worship, with the same theme and an additional reading Psalm 29: 1-10, starting at 6pm.

Sunday 30th April

This Sunday at cafe worship (9:30am start) the theme is The Bible. There is no Junior Church as Cafe Worship is an all age celebration. The evening worship is a more peaceful and reflective worship, with the theme of The walk to Emmaus. The reading is Luke 24: 13-35. Evening Worship starts at 6pm. Agape will be held during the evening worship.

APCM

Uplyme Church’s APCM is on April 24th at 7:30pm, to which all are welcome. Below you will find a series of reports that will be discussed at the APCM and are also freely available in church.

Sunday 23rd April

This Sunday the theme for both morning (10am) and evening (6pm) worship is  Jesus appears to his disciples and to Thomas and the reading is John 20: 19-31.  Junior Church is back for a new term after the Easter Holiday break.

The evening worship is a more peaceful and reflective worship, with the same theme and reading, starting at 6pm. Communion will be held during the evening worship.

Easter

Happy Easter to all from Uplyme Church. This week there are a number of services.

Maundy Thursday (13th) Uplyme and Axmouth have a joint service with an agape meal, based at Axmouth Church at 6:30pm.

Good Friday (14th) sees our joint service at Uplyme at 10am with a beautiful choir

Easter Sunday Uplyme and Axmouth have separate services to which all are welcome. In the morning we will have communion as part of our 10am worship led by Revd Ann Stuckey. Revd Kate Woolven will be leading our 6pm Easter Praise service and we will be joined by the Festival Choir. The themes for both will be The Resurrection and Matthew 28: 1-10 will be the reading, with an additional reading of Psalm 66: 1-11 in the evening.

 

Palm Sunday

This Sunday is Palm Sunday.  The theme for both morning (10am) and evening (6pm) worship is The triumphal entry in Jerusalem and the reading is Matthew 21: 1-11.  Junior Church is not running during the Easter Holidays. The evening worship is a more peaceful and reflective worship, with the same theme and reading, starting at 6pm. Communion will be held during the evening worship.

Sunday 19th March

This Sunday morning worship, (10am start) the theme is God’s abundant generosity – The Lost Son and the reading is Luke 15: 18-32. Communion will be held during the morning worship. We will also be having the 1st reading of banns for Tom Wills and Danielle-Jade Hanham. Junior Church is on. The children meet at Mrs Ethelstons from 9:50am and the leaders will bring them back to the church. The evening worship is a more peaceful and reflective worship, with the same theme and an additional reading of Psalm 40, starting at 6pm.

Sunday 12th March

This Sunday morning worship (10am start) the theme is God’s Abundant Generosity -The Good Samaritan and the reading is Luke 10: 25-37.  Junior Church is on. The children meet at Mrs Ethelstons from 9:50am and the leaders will bring them back to the church. The evening worship is a more peaceful and reflective worship, with the same theme and reading, starting at 6pm. Communion will be held during the evening worship.

 

This Sunday 5th March

This Sunday morning worship (10am start) the theme is God’s Abundant Generosity – The Sower and the reading is Matthew 13:1-9, 18-23. Communion will be held during the morning worship. Junior Church is on. The children meet at Mrs Ethelstons from 9:50am and the leaders will bring them back to the church. The evening worship is a more peaceful and reflective worship, with the same theme and an additional reading of Psalm 50: 1-5, starting at 6pm.

 

Ash Wednesday

Uplyme and Axmouth Churches Ash Wednesday service will be held at Axmouth Church on Wednesday 1st March at 6:30pm. All are welcome.
